Letters About Literature: A National Reading and Writing Promotional Program for children and young adults.

The Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, in partnership with Target Stores and in cooperation with affiliate state centers for the book, invites readers in grades 4 through 12 to enter Letters About Literature, a national reading-writing contest.

Ohio Advocates of Literacy and the Literary Arts Award Program

The Ohio Center for the Book @ Cleveland Public Library issues two awards annually to honor an individual or organization which advocate, promote, and celebrate reading, literacy, and the culture of the book within the State of Ohio.

The Literacy Advocate Award honors those who have dedicated time, energy, and resources to champion literacy within the state.

“Letters About Literature” Winners

Ohio Letters About Literature winners, finalists, and semi-finalists were recognized at the Ohioana Book Festival on Saturday, May 9, 2009.

The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award

The Cleveland Public Library participates in The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award by nominating up to three novels each year for the Award.  Nominations are made by 115 libraries in capital and major cities in 38 countries throughout the world.
