Central Ohio Fiction Writers (COFW), is a non-profit professional association for writers of all fiction genres, and a local chapter of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) organization. Since 1987, COFW has promoted excellence in fiction writing, encouraging writers to grow and gain knowledge in their craft. Members provide a networking system to share knowledge and support the goal of becoming published.

COFW membership includes monthly meetings offering presentations by well-known authors and beneficial subject matter experts; a monthly newsletter with educational articles, member news, and a calendar of local events; a critique partner program; a detailed website an email loop for the exchange of ideas; an annual writing contest which includes the participation of nationally-known editors; and an annual conference which features award-winning authors, as well as access to a prominent editor and an agent.

In addition, as a chapter of the national Romance Writers of America®(RWA®), COFW offers members access to the many resources provided by RWA, including the national website and a monthly magazine, through which members are kept apprised of valuable up-to-date market information.
